Qantas Freight International Melbourne Terminal update
Express Check Self-Service Kiosk
Last week, Qantas Freight International Melbourne Terminal commenced the
Express Check self-service kiosk for import customers.
As a result, you will notice the following changes at the international Melbourne terminal:
- Six import
Express Check kiosks now available in the main foyer. To use the system, your driver must first be authorised to operate on your behalf via completion of the Driver Authorisation facility available on qantasfreight.com.
- Drivers can now, using an
Express Check kiosk, confirm their import delivery list in under 60-seconds.
- Alternatively, drivers can be notified via SMS or email of an assigned collection list ID reference to be input at the
Express Check kiosk, for import freight ready for pick-up. Lodgement is still available through the counter where required.
- An improved delivery process. Our warehouse operators are now using forklift mounted iPads to streamline delivery with all delivery lists – whether lodged via the
counter or Express Check kiosk – automatically prioritised and displayed along with waiting time on each forklift.
Melbourne is the third international terminal in the country to receive the
Express Check system and your feedback has been very positive.
Thank you to those customers that have already successfully authorised regular drivers and are now regularly using the
Express Check kiosks and providing feedback.
The Express Check system will be progressively rolled out to import customers in all Australian international terminals throughout 2013.
